It's TUMMY TIME!

Laney has really changed this week! She has really been squealing and talking up a storm. She has also started to notice her fingers and hands. She will suck on her fingers (not a lot of NUK action this last week) and watch her hands like they are a magical discovery! She also is trying out laying on her tummy- at first, it didn't go so well... then we tried the Baby Einstein DVDs and then the Boppy pillow and then we put the two together and... it worked! We also had a busy weekend- Marc was in Iowa golfing, so Laney and I had a girls weekend! We missed Daddy and we were really happy that he took Monday off the spend with us.

Sooo, have I mentioned that I'm not a fan of my car seat?

Laney has decided that she doesn't like car rides anymore. We used to count on her falling asleep in the car.. not anymore! Our weekend in Pease didn't go exactly as planned. She was really happy during Jamie and Ryan's ceremony- but the car ride to the reception was a loud one. I think she had had enough people and car seat action for the day and let me it be known. We left early (sorry everyone) and Laney got some much needed rest. She fell asleep in the car and slept from 9pm to 10am, waking only once to eat! Needless to say, there are no photos of the weekend!

I did get a chance to take a couple during the week though, so here they are!

Happy Easter!

Laney celebrated her very first Easter yesterday! She went to church (which she slept through)and went to Granny and Grandpa Nick's. It was a fun day with an Easter egg hunt, a first Easter basket, family and lots of food. Her cousin Ryan (who is almost 1 already!) wanted to trade Nuks (blue for pink) and gets pretty jealous when his mommy holds Laney! We missed Uncle Jon and Aunt Jessie but will make up for it when they help with some landscaping duty in a few weeks!

We are gearing up for Aunt Jamie's wedding this coming weekend. It will be a busy weekend and Laney will meet lots of family and get to see Grandpa and Grandma Hubers again! The time goes so fast! Enjoy some photos!!

9 weeks ago....

Laney went to the doctor for her 2 month check up.... which means she got 3 shots in her thighs and had to drink some gross vaccination, too! She screamed and I cried- good thing Daddy was there to hold it all together! She was 9 lbs even and we are still not believing how fast she grows! I still look at outfits and think that they are going to be too big, but they always fit! We had it pretty easy last week- we are all finally over our colds.

Saturday night was a big night- I went to Aunt Jill's for Aunt Jamie's bachelorette party and Laney and Dad stayed home and watched the Final Four! It went really well, except that I really missed my girl... Laney made up for it though- by waking up a couple extra times to eat! Busy weeks ahead; with Easter and Jamie's wedding..
