We have had a really happy and sad couple months. On July 13th we said goodbye to Laney's beloved Great-Grandma Zoe (Lorraine Bunker). She was at the beautiful age of 91 and passed peacefully in her sleep. We have been celebrating her life and trying to look at her passing as a blessing. She left Laney one of her favorite angels,-I will tell Laney many stories about her Great grandma. We cherish every memory of Zoe and will miss her everyday. Laney was named after my grandma.
On the "hello" end... Laney is walking! She started shortly after Zoe passed (Laney has a special cheerleader in heaven). She has been pretty excited and almost laughs when she walks. She loves to push her "baby" in the stroller and walk up the stairs- with help! We have also discovered her first favorite character... Dora the Explorer. We have to watch everyday and Laney loves to play with her Dora toys. Maybe she'll start speaking Spanish soon!
We have also experienced a first ear infection. I noticed a low grade fever and we brought her into the pediatrician. Just one ear and it wasn't too bad. I guess we made it a while with out being really sick. Lucky! Laney is still a pretty good eater and her favorite is still macaroni and cheese. Who can blame her?
We are really looking forward to a week up at the lake. We're heading up north (Brainerd area) the first week of August and we can't wait! Laney loves the water and we get to spend some time with the Hubers side of the family. Summer is going fast- hope everyone is enjoying it!
